The experience begins with a transfer from your accommodation in El Calafate, aboard 4x4 vehicles. As we traveled around the area of Lago ArgentinoAmidst cliffs and open landscapes, our guides introduce us to the history of the early inhabitants and explorers who traversed these lands.
During the tour we will make a first stop to enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Argentino and the Andes Mountains, a setting that allows one to grasp the vastness of the Patagonian landscape.
Then we will continue towards Punta Walichu, one of the most representative archaeological sites in the area. There, we will take a guided walk of approximately 500 meters, traversing natural formations where they are preserved original rock paintings.
Through the explanations of our guides, we will discover the stories, expressions, and techniques of the ancient peoples who inhabited the region, connecting with a Patagonia that remains alive through its traces.
The journey culminates in a natural cave with privileged views of Lake Argentino, where one of the most special moments of the experience awaits us: a three-course lunch or dinner, accompanied by a drink and prepared using flavors and products characteristic of Patagonia.
More than just an excursion, this offering is a different way to experience El Calafate: A journey where landscape, history, culture, and gastronomy come together to tell the story of Patagonia's essence.
