Darwin Experience

Kayaking on the Santa Cruz River: adventure in Patagonia

Live a unique adventure paddling the Santa Cruz River, following part of the route Charles Darwin took during his expedition through Patagonia.

The experience begins with a transfer from your accommodation in El Calafate by 4×4 to Paraje Charles Furh. There, our guides will prepare you to begin a journey of roughly 15 km and 80 minutes of kayaking, surrounded by natural landscapes and the immensity of the Patagonian steppe.

Afterward, we'll enjoy a full Patagonian lunch at Río Bote, before heading back to El Calafate along gravel roads and the iconic Route 40.
