Located at the foot of Cerro Calafate, Estancia 25 de Mayo invites you to discover one of the most authentic sides of El Calafate. During this half-day experience you'll explore its landscapes, get close to Patagonian countryside traditions, and enjoy a dinner accompanied by traditional music and dance.
Upon arriving at the ranch we'll share a warm welcome with mate and fried cakes (tortas fritas), while learning about the history of this place and its beginnings in the early 20th century.
The day continues with a sheep herding demonstration, one of the activities that form part of Patagonia's rural identity — a chance to get an up-close look at the traditional work of the region's ranches.
We'll take a walk around the ranch, following the Arroyo Calafate stream to the old shearing shed and corrals. There we'll learn the traditional scissor shearing technique and visit the organic vegetable garden, whose fresh produce is part of the ranch's culinary offering.
To close the experience, we'll head to El Quincho, where we'll enjoy a dinner with traditional flavors of the region. The menu includes a traditional or vegetarianoption, accompanied by a show of Argentine folklore and traditional dance.
Traditional menu: welcome appetizer, creole empanada, spit-roasted lamb, chorizo and blood sausage, garden salad, rustic potatoes, and dessert of choice.
Vegetarian menu welcome appetizer, pumpkin soup with garlic and white wine, pumpkin ravioli, and dessert of choice.
The experience includes transfer, afternoon snack, and dinner.
An afternoon to discover ranch life, enjoy local flavors, and connect with the traditions that are part of El Calafate's identity.
